Guys, Let’s be real. In Nepal, many traders (Actually I am telling about me, a trader 1 year ago but not now ) are carrying iPhone Pro Max or Samsung Fold worth over lakhs, but when it’s time to do trading, they use an old, slow laptop that sounds like it's about to explode when you open TradingView chart in Nepsealpha .
Does that make sense? You're trying to make lakhs from the stock market using a laptop that can't even handle Excel properly!. For me Mobile Is for Flexing (Show off, really) , Not for Trading. I can use a phone for quick checks or placing a trade.
But if i want to:
Then i need a proper laptop. Simple. Phone is good for TikTok, not for trading.
Even a laptop around Rs. 80,000 to 1 lakh is powerful these days. With that, i can:
Meanwhile, my phone is perfect to get alerts, not to plan trades.
When you sit with a proper laptop, you feel like a trader. You take it seriously. When you trade on mobile, you get distracted by Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, then make emotional trades.
Focus = Profits. Distraction = Losses.
If you are serious about making money in trading, don’t just buy gadgets to show off. Buy tools that help you think better, plan better, and trade better. A good laptop is not an expense. It’s an investment in your trading success.
As per my google study, made a note that in human-computer interaction, small screens reduce comprehension and decision-making accuracy. You see less information at once. You have to switch between apps frequently. This increases cognitive load, making your brain work harder to process simple tasks. You are more likely to make mistakes or miss important signals when trading on a phone. Trading often requires multitasking: Watching charts, Reading news, Monitoring positions, Taking notes. On mobile, doing all this requires constant app switching, which affects the brain’s working memory and decision quality. Trading requires visual data processing, charts, indicators, tables.
On mobile: You can’t compare multiple charts easily. Indicators overlap and become hard to read. Tools like heatmaps, trade monitor, sentiment trackers, order book depth don’t display properly. Using mobile phones for long hours leads to: bad posture, spine strain, Eye fatigue due to screen brightness and glare. These factors reduce your focus, alertness, and reaction time during trading.
Mobile is great for watching a stock when you're outside in a coffee shop. But for serious trading, the human brain and body perform much better with a bigger screen, more tools, and better posture, all of which a laptop provides.
